Hello! I'm Glad You're Here!

My name is Amanda! I’m a mom, a wife, daughter, student, and a Christian. I love walks, staying fit, eating yummy foods, and being outside. I work hard and enjoy setting and accomplishing goals. However, I’m also a woman in need of a creative outlet.

I come from a family with artistic skills. My Grandma, Mom, and Sister have always been able to make pretty artsy things, but me? I’ve never considered myself an artist. Instead, I played sports, hung out with friends, and focused on doing well in school to set myself up for a successful career.

There came a time when the desire to create began to bubble up in me. I designed and remodeled our home; I learned to crochet, spent time sketching, and eventually, on a sleepless night, I grabbed my three-year-old’s Crayola watercolor paint set and painted a few Easter pictures to hang in my house. That night was a turning point for me; I felt the need to create had finally come to the surface, and a new part of me had been unlocked. From there, I found the world of watercolor to fall into—to study, practice, and reach goals; to learn and find magic within.

So here I am! A lover of trying, doing, and discovering myself. I play with colors, paint sets, and creating pretty things. And yes, I now embrace the title of artist. And maybe you will too—just dabble and see where it takes you!
